Actually 105mm, not 90mm; Heavy, but seems well built

Actually 105mm, not 90mm; Heavy, but seems well built
First, this is not a 90mm stem. I've attached a diagram of how stems are measured (the "Extension"), and this one measures about 105mm in that dimension. Which is OK given that it's got a 45-degree angle. The "Reach" (horizontal measurement center to center) is about 74mm. Since I was replacing a 70mm 7-degree steam, this one ended up increasing the Reach just 2mm. Maintaining Reach is important, since moving the handlebars further away makes you lean over more, even if the handlebars are higher, and too little reach can lead to instability or twitchy steering.Note also that the clamp Height, which is how tall the part that clamps around the steerer rube is, is also pretty large - just over 2". This is taller than many other stems, but that's a good thing since it should enhance stability and reduce strain on the steerer tube. But, it does mean you'll probably need a lower space stack height because you don't want the top of the stem too far above the top of the steerer tube (1/8" is recommended). At any rate, swapping a true 70mm 7-degree stem for this raised my handlebars 35mm more while changing the reach just 2mm. Should be just about perfect dimensionally.Note that this other stem on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/SanZhi-Handlebar-Mountain-Bicycle-Cycling/dp/B07HRMJNS1 looks to be identical, a few bucks more, and comes in both 45 and 40 degree angles. And this one (https://www.amazon.com/FOMTOR-Bicycle-Handlebar-Suitable-Mountain/dp/B075FL98Y8 ) appears identical as well for the same price. Interestingly, that one also appears to have the same Extension length mistake. If you want a name brand for safety, the best I could find is this Ritchey: https://www.amazon.com/Ritchey-Comp-4-Axis-Stem-Degree/dp/B07VYKZ38W It's only 30 degrees, but comes in various lengths, which appears to be properly measured. There's also the "Comp" version (https://www.amazon.com/Ritchey-160539-03-Clamp-31-8mm-Steerer/dp/B06W2M4YSN ), which is only in an 80mm length. Finally, note that this Wake stem is marked "3D Forged," which if true would be a good indicator of strength. Given the high weight and low price, hard to believe.
