    My road bike came with all DuraAce 9100 DI2/Hydraulic components except for the very lightweight rotors which were mostly air and very little metal. Braking was mushy at best and grabby at worst. I ride in flat Florida where braking is hardly needed, but braking with the lightweight rotors was simply awful. Installing these Shimano rotors was like magic, braking can now be finely modulated with a firm lock up before the brake handle touches the bar. Lesson learned: match Shimano components to other Shimano components and you'll get the best performance.

    Pretty. Light. Great stopping power. Don't seem as prone to the wobble your typical rotor as. Also, the center lock is soooo much easier than the 6 star bolts on your standard rotor. Will be running center lock setups on all wheel builds going forward.

    The rotors sent were exactly as shown, in the OEM packaging. I'm having some noise issues with my 2016 XT Icetech centerlock rotors - the newer model with the cooling fins. Even organic pads make a little noise at moderate speeds, until the pads get hot. I know rotors can make a big difference in terms of noise, so for the price this felt like a reasonably cheap experiment to potentially eliminate this noise. At this point I've put a good 750 miles on this rotor, and it's still running quiet and smooth.
