- Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2013I wasn't at all sure how I would like these flexible brake noodles, but they are great. The build quality is very solid. I have 3 bikes and these work on all of them. I prefer them to the noodles that came with the bike. They do not impede my brake cable movement in the least. And they have a cool look--just add a touch of class to all the bikes. There is nothing about these NOT to like. Given the fact that they will replace all kinds of different noodles, this is a good thing to buy if you are not sure about the size or angle of the noodle you are replacing. Great deal on a 10-pack.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2017These worked great replacing the front noodle on my folding bike. I've ridden it only about 30 miles so far so can't comment on durability. Easy to install and no worries with missing a hard noodle.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2014I bought these as part of a re-cabling job on a used bike that I got for my son. The original "noodle" cable guides were rusty and bent, and I was intrigued by the design of the Jagwire parts. Between my own bikes and friend's bikes that I have worked on, I have long been dissatisfied with the rigid Shimano-style guides and wished for something better in terms of durability and friction reduction. These guides seem to address those concerns, and at a nice price. They are made with an inner friction-reducing plastic layer and a helical steel outer layer that seems structurally similar to the metal layer of brake cable housing but is springier, unlike the rigid exterior of Shimano-style guides. Like the Shimano units, Jagwire guides have a ferrule at the cable housing end and a flanged cap at the end that attaches to the bracket on the brake arm. The springiness of the Jagwire guides allows the cable to enter the brake at its angle of least resistance rather than the fixed angle imposed on it by the rigid guides. Although I haven't used them long enough to know about their long-term durability, I predict that their flexibility, particularly on a kid's bike, will make them less likely to kink or break than the more commonly used rigid guides.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2019If you work on a lot of bikes that have linear-pull brakes, these are a great item to have around. They fit the common brands like Avid and Shimano, and they can be bent to 90 degrees (front) or 135 degrees (rear), so they're pretty much a universal part. The nose section that fits into the quick release is fairly short, which is good because a nose section that's too long can make the quick release difficult -- or impossible -- to use. They look pretty good, and Jagwire stuff generally holds up well. All in all, these are a useful addition to the parts bin.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2017These noodles out perform the “fixed” versions. I’ve installed over a dozen of them now (had to order twice). Only one challenge ... the cable ends don’t fit into the noodle socket. Any suggestions?
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2016These try to form as straight as possible, so you might need to mess around with housing length to get them to curve properly

- Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2014This is a flexible brake Noodle. It helps you solve a problem if you have a tight spot on your frame and exchange your break parts. I needed this for a Trek female frame, the rear brake has a thigh spot just underneath the seat post. A regular noodle needs to be bend and would still stick the wire out too far - so your legs would touch it at every pedal. This flexible noodle fixes that problem. Further, it seems to be a good and sturdy noodle as it is, I am also using it on my other bikes now and it works well. For me, it does not reduce break efficiency (despite being flexible). I assume it will last me longer than the stock noodles that come with the breaks. I highly recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great replacement noodles.
These worked a treat to replace the poor quality (snapped) Apollo hard noodle. I couldn’t work out which angle they were and that’s the beauty of these. They find the best angle for the cable routing as they are flexible.
Really quick job to fit as long as you haven’t got frayed cables. Get some cable cutters and it’s dead easy & add some finials to finish it off.
