Best mount for 2 devices
I was looking for a good, sturdy, out-front mount. I have 2 bikes with the same stem except one has 4mm mounting screws and one has 5 mm. None of the out-front mounts I looked at use 5mm, even the one on Amazon that specifically states it is for 5mm, it comes configured for 4mm,so I returned it. Then I found this unit. It is well made of CNC machined aluminum, not the "plastic metal" that some are made of. Included in the blister packaging is a replacement mounting screw (in case you drop one and it rolls so far under your workbench you cannot retrieve it), a second device mount that appears to be for a Wahoo, and 2 different size allen wrenches. As you can see from the photo, I mount my phone on top and I bought an accessory to mount my CygoLite headlight. I bought a Garmin mount for the phone that uses a very sticky mounting adhesive. I use a second Garmin specific mount reversed to hold my Garmin over the stem. This setup works well for me since I use RwGPS on my phone for verbal directions and the Garmin for details in a data screen and a map, if I need it. The plastic inserts to mount the unit on a 25.4m bar have a plastic insert to keep it from moving. It may be my bar, but with both inserts the mounting screws were a tad too short to catch the threads so I removed the bottom one and replaced it wit a thin strip of rubber to make the mount secure. I love this setup!

I need to have my Garmin mount far out in front of my handlebars and I thought this product would be a good solution. However, I found no reference to the size or extension distance of this product on the seller description. I received the product in a timely fashion, however, the product is only about a 4 inch extension and about a half or three-quarters shorter than my need. So I will return.

I have 4-5 different mounts for bike computers. None of them "high end" - but all decent, and all Aluminum ( I just cant trust the plastic...). This one is probably the smoothest inserting/removing my Garmin. It locked down firmly and the screw threads did NOT feel "cheap" and gritty like some mounts I've used over the years. I felt I could snug the screws down without feeling like I should worry about stripping them or tearing threads out. BUT this IS Aluminum and they are tiny screws, so obviously, don't go all gorilla on it. I did not use threadlocker and mine has held fast for a few months. This one is on a road bike, but I ride some rough roads in the county. (actually had a plastic GoPro mount snap from rough roads once!) It has stayed snug and has not slipped or needed any retightening.

I'm not into flashy looks, so plain black would have been fine with me, but the design is nice, certainly not a turn off at all. It feels both sturdy and light. Hopefully it will hold up for a long time as it's working well for me and I'd like that to continue for a long time!

    Good mount, I'd recommend it.

The mount itself is fine. No rubber insert to protect the bars, but I was going to use on my beater commuter anyways. The problem is the insert where you secure the GPS unit. I have 2 other official mounts and my Garmin 520 slides in easily. With this mount the fit is way too tight and something is eventually going to snap while swapping between bikes. Hopefully it would be the mount and not the tabs on the Garmin. I'm not willing to risk the latter and won't be using this.

Lightweight and good looking lines. Easily switched out the Garmin inset for the Bryton and my Bryton 330 fits securely. I don't need the camera attachment. It was easily removed. I put the Garmin inset in its place - it doesn't protrude and if I ever switch to Garmin I'll know where it is. They even included the hexagon tools for installation. Mounted it on my handlebars and taken 5 rides so far. I'm satisfied.

Came with an insert which you can remove for smaller bars. Held tight over rough roads as well. After 1000 miles the plastic insert broke which is normal for me if you ride on rough roads, just wish I knew where to get another one where the holes align.

I was quite surprised by the quality of the Shocki. Solid and constructed to provide a good view of computer during ride. For the cost a huge upgrade from the included mount that comes with Garmins. The added feature of being able to solidly mount GoPro out front is there if I want . Only drawback but usually the case is the included allen wrenches but they are ok in case you don't have your own.
